8th Century BCE King's Seal
- 8th Century B.C.E. Provenance Unknown
- The seal is made of amazonite and inscribed in
ancient hebrew script with the name of its owner: (Belonging) to Shafat.
- A four winged uraeus or a scarab covers the larger part of the seal area.
- Underneath the scarab a papyrus flower is engraved.
- Each end of the ring has the form of a papyrus flower
- The seal was given as a gift to the Israeli Museum by
Shoshana Richman z"l in memory of her husband J.M. Richman z"l (Jacob's grandfather)
