Photos of Ofra in the Summer of 1978

In the summer of 1978, Jacob Richman (me) and my
friend Jules Loweff went on a summer program which
incuded touring Israel and then taking summer classes
at Hebrew University.
We arrived in Israel several weeks before the program started
and we volunteered to help in building the settlement of Ofra.
I worked on cementing parts of a building (I am standing near it).
and Jules worked on building a rock fence (he is pictured with
the locals in the dining room). We slept in the new rooms of
the field school.
We had a great summer.
