About the Author




Born in Plissa, a little shtetel near Vilna, Rabbi Berzon came to the United States as a youngster. He was graduated from Yeshiva University in 1935, and was ordained in the same year. In 1976 he was awarded a doctorate by his alma mater. Rabbi Berzon served as president of the Rabbinical Council of America (1970-1972), as president of the Rabbinical Alumni of Yeshiva University (1966-1968), as vice president of the Religious Zionists of America (1971-1973), and as editor of the R.C.A. Manual of Sermons in 1943. Since 1939, Rabbi Berzon has been spiritual leader of congregation Ahavath Israel in Brooklyn, New York.
