Israel marks Hebrew Language Day every year on the birthday of Eliezer Ben Yehuda, the father of modern spoken Hebrew. This year, the Hebrew date (21 of Tevet) falls on January 18, 2020 (Shabbat).
Celebrations and activities throughout Israel will take place on Thursday, January 16, 2020.
